Welcome to my website!
What you can expect to find here? Information about me and subjects I feel are significant, but also an overview of diverse projects I have worked on and contributed to.
Are you looking for a partner to assist you with the maintenance of your information system? Then you have come to the right place! Together, we can find out how I can meet your demands with my acquired knowledge and experience.
My goal as your consultant is to find the software solution that suits both you and your needs.
My international experience (4 years in France, over 5 years in Germany) has not only meant that I have worked with various technologies e.g. 4GL languages in a Mainframe environment or the most modern Java frameworks, but has also allowed me to become acquainted with a broad spectrum of application areas such as retail, wholesale, banking and insurance.
What does IT Seams Like stand for?
When looking at a parachute, its seams are not the first thing you notice. However, if you jump out of a plane with a parachute, it is important that those seams hold and are so positioned that stability is guaranteed.
What applies for the seams of a parachute is certainly true with regard to the interfaces of an information system. The architecture of an information system is becoming increasingly more open. It has to constantly interact with heterogenic systems and must continuously face the resulting two-fold challenge: enabling stability, guaranteeing the continuity and availability of applications whilst at the same time being sufficiently flexible and innovative so that the company that has strategically established itself in a market, which is becoming more competitive at an increasingly faster pace, can maintain a strong market presence in the future.
In order to meet this challenge it is essential to surround oneself with people who are competent in their field in order to create the interface, that means a seam, between a diverse range of technologies, environments and information systems.
In several respects globalization forces us to seek the appropriate partners in this regard: Technical and applicative competence alone does not suffice if you need to respond to cultural and linguistic differences in connection with an international project. You are better off with people who understand your language(s), your business and your requirements. In other words, someone who understands you!
Last, but not least, agile processes call for employees with good communication skills, who are team players, good listeners and open-minded. It is no coincidence that the semantics surrounding this type of project management are often derived from terms associated with rugby and sports in general, e.g scrum, sprints, etc.
Post Scriptum:
Seam is also a modern and innovative framework of the Red House Company. Many experts consider this framework to be one of the most promising future-oriented solutions in the field of Web J2EE applications. “If Java EE6 builds the house, then Seam 3 provides the furniture”, that’s the motto behind this framework. By the same token, my aim is to make your stay in this house as comfortable and as much as a success as possible.
